Kunes Auto Group Proud to Support Sussex Lions Daze 2026
Summer in Wisconsin has a rhythm to it. Sweet corn stands open, ballfields fill up on weeknights, and small towns across the state throw open their gates for the festivals that have anchored their communities for generations. Few events capture that spirit better than Sussex Lions Daze, and this year Kunes Auto Group is honored to stand behind it as a proud sponsor.
A Tradition Worth Celebrating
The Sussex Lions Club has been living out its motto, "We Serve," for decades, and Lions Daze is where that motto comes to life every July. Alongside the Sussex Area Service Club, the Lions turn Sussex Village Park into a three day celebration built entirely by volunteers, with proceeds going straight back into youth programs and community projects. That kind of grassroots, neighbor helping neighbor tradition is exactly the kind of thing worth showing up for.
This year's festival runs Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12 at Sussex Village Park (W244N6125 Weaver Dr, Sussex, WI). Admission and parking are free, and there is no shortage of ways to spend a summer weekend:
- Carnival rides and wristband specials all three days
- Live music each night, including The Kingfish Band, Smart Mouth, Maddie Jo Band, The Now Band, Cherry Pie, and The Black Sheep MKE
- A Sunday morning parade down Main Street followed by the UW Marching Band's 5th Quarter performance
- Tractor pulls, softball and bags tournaments, bingo, fireworks, camel and pony rides, balloon sculpting, and face painting
- Food, refreshments, and beer tents pouring Miller/Coors products throughout the weekend
