An Evening to Remember
On Wednesday, August 20 at 5 p.m., neighbors from across Milwaukee are invited to gather at Wellpoint Care Network (8901 W. Capitol Dr.) for a night of entertainment and community spirit. (Rain date: August 27.)
The evening begins with a live performance from the Donna Woodall Group, a Milwaukee favorite known for gracing stages at Jazz in the Park, Summerfest, and the St. Kate Arts Hotel. Donna’s soulful energy and captivating sound set the perfect tone for a summer evening.
As the sun sets, the community will come together under the stars for the showing of the inspiring film, Remember the Titans. This timeless story of teamwork and unity in the face of division reminds us of the strength we find when we come together — a message that resonates deeply today.
Food, Family, and Giving Back
No summer night is complete without great food! A variety of local food trucks will be on-site serving everything from BBQ and burgers to tacos, gyros, and sweet treats. Free popcorn will also be available while supplies last.
What makes the evening even more meaningful is the chance to give back. A portion of food sales will benefit Wellpoint Care Network, a nonprofit that supports Milwaukee children and families with programs rooted in equity, learning, and wellness. Guests are also encouraged to bring boxes of healthy cereal to support the Hunger Task Force, which is facing a severe shortage.

As Alderman Lamont Westmoreland shared:
